The theory that Mets are obsessed with Yankees’ ‘cast-offs’

Proof of this is the recent multi-million dollar deal that took Dominican baseball player Juan Soto from the Yankees to the Mets, which has given fodder to those who claim that the Mets live off what the Yankees discard

It is no secret that the Mets and the Yankees are constantly at odds in terms of signings and the impact they have within the league. Both teams keep an eye on what the other is doing and are constantly looking to improve on it and thus make a bigger impact in the market.

It is well known that there is also a constant battle being waged on the economic front, and this is perhaps the most important at a time when sport has become an extremely profitable business that equally distributes millions of dollars within the ever-growing bubble in Major League Baseball.

The rivalry between New York’s baseball teams is not limited to the diamonds, the trails and the gardens, and not only to the Subway Series, in fact it is not contained only by the territoriality of Queens or The Bronx.
