Boyd’s celebration was premature, however, as Chiefs running back Samaje Perine recovered the fumble. Boyd bagged a penalty which would be enforced half the distance to the goal for his unsportsmanlike act of throwing his helmet. An exasperated-looking Ross then approached Boyd on the field, who shoved Ross back toward the sideline, to the chagrin of some spectators. The Chiefs went on to score a field goal to which the Texans replied with one of their own. The Chiefs eventually emerged victorious over the Texans, 23-14.
