LeBron James takes on the NFL for giving them competition: Christmas is ours!

LeBron James has made a statement not only with his play but with his words after the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a dramatic 115-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day. In a high-stakes game that featured an unforgettable back-and-forth between James and Steph Curry, LeBron couldn’t help but take a shot at the NFL‘s decision to compete against the NBA for the first time in years on such a high-profile holiday.

Following the thrilling match, where the Lakers emerged victorious, LeBron expressed his thoughts on the scheduling clash. Known for being a big fan of the NFL, he didn’t shy away from calling out the timing of the game.

“I love the NFL, but Christmas is our day,” he said.

His comment sparked a wave of support from basketball fans on social media, who agreed that Christmas Day is a time for the NBA to shine.

While LeBron’s 30-point performance was crucial, it was his teammate Austin Reaves who took center stage with an unforgettable clutch play. With just seconds left on the clock, and after Curry had tied the game at 118-118 with a jaw-dropping 30-foot jumper, Reaves responded with a game-winning layup with only one second remaining.

Reaves’ performance was exceptional, as he finished with a triple-double, totaling 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. His resilience came at a time when the Lakers were dealt a major setback, as Anthony Davis went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter, limiting him to just seven minutes of play. Reaves’ contribution became all the more significant given Davis’ early exit from the game.

LeBron also played a pivotal role, contributing 30 points in the game, but the victory was truly a collective effort from the team.
