A lighthearted dig at old friends

LeBron humorously referenced his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, who both have ties to Arizona.

The bond between LeBron, Jefferson and Frye was forged during their time with the Cavaliers, where they won the 2016 NBA Championship. Despite moving on from their playing days together, the trio remains close, frequently sharing their banter with fans.

“Got some terrible friends, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye,” James noted. “A lot of them there. Not too excited about that. I don’t know, but we are excited to go down.”

Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, LeBron took time to interact with reporters in the locker room.

Coach Lloyd‘s a straight shooter,” he added. “He gave him exactly what they believe in, gave him exactly what they thought about him as a person and a player. Bryce is happy to be a part of the… community.”

“It was his decision to make. He went where he felt comfortable,” LeBron said.

Before addressing the question directly, LeBron playfully pulled out an Ohio State Buckeyes hat from his bag, pretending not to hear the initial question, leaving the room in laughter.
