Tentative plans for Jimmy Carter’s funeral

According to the Carter Center, former President Jimmy Carter’s memorial services will be held over the next eight days, including a state funeral in Washington, D.C., and ceremonies in Georgia, before he is buried in Plains, Georgia.

After the service at the cathedral, where President Biden is expected to speak, Mr Carter will be taken back to Georgia and driven to Plains, where he will be buried on the family grounds.

Jimmy Carter died this Sunday at the age of 100. The 39th president of the United States, who served a single term from 1977 to 1981, will be remembered for his enduring commitment to philanthropy and his unrelenting humanitarian work. Great tributes can therefore be expected to honor his memory.
