For those born between the 1st and 10th of any given month, the second Wednesday of the month is when their payment is made. For those whose birthdays fall between the 11th and 20th, payments are issued on the third Wednesday, which in January 2025 will be January 15. Lastly, if you were born between the 21st and 31st of the month, you can expect your payment on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
In the rare case you receive paper checks, these may take a little longer. If you haven’t received your paper check three business days after the expected payment date, contact the SSA to inquire about a replacement.
The payment date for people born in other months follows the same pattern: the second Wednesday for those born between the 1st and 10th, the third Wednesday for those born between the 11th and 20th, and the fourth Wednesday for those born between the 21st and 31st.
